J., rider celebrated another milestone, but which one he would not divulge. Cecil Phillips, chief assistant to starter George Palmer, will leave after todays races to dispatch the fields at Delaware for the two days of conflict. Phillips will bring: three men from this crew and use four of Eddie Blinds outfit at Stanton. Palmer will take over Tuesday when this session wraps it up Eddie Holton made a swift trip from New York to saddle Barboursville here Thursday. . .Dr. Dewey Gottlieb, now down to one horse, Lucky Harp, after disposing: of his Kay-Gee Stable, plans to build up his string again. He will attend the sales at Belmont Park ... .Louis Prima made the trip from New York to watch his wifes Duketownrun in the second race. While Al Tusa, his regu- "* lar trainer was in New York, Sammy Saco saddled Primas starter — Ned Gaines will transfer Cary Boshamer*s string of 18 to Delaware Park. Most of the riders on this circuit will move over to Delaware, some to stay for the entire meeting, others until Monmouth opens on June 12. Karl Korte and Babe Hanford are the latest to join the move- * ment. . .Saratoga stakes blanks are available in the racing secretarys office... Jockey Logan Batcheller and his wife were dinner guests of Mr- arid Mrs. Roxy de Marco of Camden. . .Jimmy Picarillo winds up his duties with Ty Shea Saturday night and will leave for New Hampshire where he will join Eb Pons staff .. .Homer Pardue will race the Woodley Farm horses at Delaware then shift to Belmont after that meeting. . .William Charles, Jr., will begin his tour of other racing centers in the interests of Randall Park next Tuesday. His itinerary includes stops in New York, New England and Canada, where he will take in the Queens Plate renewal, Chicago and Detroit. Trainer Lenny Hunt shipped Measure Up, Triplay, Maid of Gold and Grey Saint to Waterford Park, where they will be handled by Emmett Richards. As busy as her husband is, Mrs. Hunt also spends a great deal of time breeding and showing pedigreed dogs and riding in horse shows. She will handle a three-gaited horse for Fred Eaton, of Fox Chase, Pa., in the aanual horse show held for the benefit of the West Jersey Hospital at Garden State on June 12. J. J. Halley arrived from New York with two juveniles who represent a new racing stable to the sport. Known as the Medilex Farm, it is owned by Joseph Costa, Brooklyn lawyer, and Dr. Lawrence Mazzarella, of the same borough... On both Wednesday and Thursday this track again out-handled Belmont Park. . .Another interesting comparison -will be furnished June 12, when Monmouth Park opens, the same day that the famed Belmont Stakes is renewed. ...Speaking of Monmouth, stakes at-that North Jersey course close midnight, June 1 . . . Other information from that center is that the new stable cafeteria opened this week. Every piece of equipment in the 200-seat building is brand new, down to the last knife and fork. This year the Harry M. Stevens, Co., has taken over the operation of the kitchen. v
