GAY JOY gradually worked way forward to the stretch, was sent between horses for the drive and, closing strongly, disposed of TWO BILLS and held EXAGGERATED safe. The latter moved up boldl/ entering the stretch, finished fast but could not overtake the top one. BILLUP made up ground during the last quarter mile, but could not reach the leaders. TINY HEART drifted out at the stretch turn, but closed fairly well when straightened for the drive. TWO BILLS took command early, made the pace to the final furlong, then weakened. ACE BOUT raced greenly. BILLS ROCKET had ho mishap. GRAVEL BIN showed nothing. BUY BOOKIE was never prominent. FIRST GREEK tired. REDDY TEDDY showed ntohing. MARY GODFREY began fast, drifted out while racing nearest TWO BILLS to the stretch, then quit. WHAT A PEACH, well handled, steadily worked v/ay forward to the stretch, was sent to the outside for the drive and, closing fast under brisk urging, disposed of GREY GRANITE to win going away. FAR SON, away slowly and racing extremely wide, closed determinedly, but could not get to the winner. PADDY LANE gave a good effort and had no mishap. BONA ETERNAL began fast, dropped back after leaving the upper turn, then came again when sent to the inside for the stretch run, but lacked racing room through the final furlong. RICKSHAW made a good bid in the early stretch, then weakened. C0NNIE-J0 had early speed, but failed to slay. BIG DANCE began alertly, but could not keep up after showing early foot GREY GRANITE, a sharp factor, early, settled, in the stretch with a short lead, then gave way when challenged by WHAT A PEACH. JUST A FOOT saved ground while under light restraint to the stretch, was sent to the outside for the drive and, responding readily to urging, disposed of the leaders to win going away. WAR DOLLAR took an early lead, made the pace until inside the stretch, but could not hold the winner. SIDS BIRTHDAY began fast and raced forwardly placed throughout in a good effort. UNCLE DREW lacked early speed, moved up fast approaching the stretch, but failed to rally when set down in the drive. BON DURANT stumbled at the break and was unable to reach serious contention. ALLAH-VHY could not keep up after displaying early speed. WHITE BLAZE was through early.
