— A Find in Impressive Suburban Workout Discoverys Son to Sub for Native Dancer on Monday, Is Sent Mile Route in 1 :39% BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., May 28. — Several candidates for Mondays 0,000 Suburban Handicap, traditional Memorial Day fixture at Belmont Park, were given serious preps for the significant mile and a quarter this morning. Here at Belmont Park, Alfred G. Vanderbilts Find, who will be attempting to sub for Native Dancer in the clean-up spot he was fourth on the original weight roster with 122 pounds, impressed work watchers with a handy mile in 1:39%. The son of Discovery was narrowly beaten by Wise Margin in the Massachusetts Cap at the Suburban distance last out. His fractions this morning were :48, 1:00, 1:12%, last quarter in :27. It should be noted, in all fairness to the horses, trainers and dockers, that it is exceedingly difficult to split the final quarter at Belmont Park, the pole being right on the turn and horses working well out from the rail appear to reach that marker much earlier than they actually do, with the result that their final quarter appears slower than it actually is. Cain Hoy Stables Armageddon, a stakes winner at this track in past y ears and winner of his last two starts, went a handy mile in 1:41%, accompanied by Giant Cracker for seven furlongs. The one-eyed son of Alsab gets in the Suburban with 109* pounds and must be respected at this impost. Giant Cracker was clocked in 1:28% for his seven panels. J. Manzano Smalls Impulsivo, an Argentine horse who appears to have the confidence of his connections and also gets in the Suburban with 109 pounds, went a mile in 1:43, handily. The invader was only asked to run the last half of the prep after a slow half in :53. Impasse Drills Mile in 1 :43% Over at Aqueduct, Valley Farms Impasse, who has 110 pounds in the handicap, went a handy mile in 1:43% with Jim Nichols in the saddle: Though the journey may be a trifle long for the son of Contradiction, who" finished in a dead heat with First Aid and lapped on White Skies at the end of the seven-furlong Roseben, he appears in fine condition. Hirsch Jacobs had two eligibles to the Suburban out for exercise at Jamaica this morning and one or both might start. Isidore Biebers hard-hitting mare, Nothird-chance, who gets in with 107, went a handy six furlongs in 1:14, while the same owners King Jolie breezed three panels in :39. The latter gets in with 105 pounds. . Other interesting moves at Belmont this morning were turned in by Mrs. G. D. Wideners Evening Out, Greentree Stables Diving Board and Mrs. Ben F. Whitakers Tahitian King. Evening Out, getting her first serious trial since her recent minor injury, went a.handy six furlongs in 1:13%. She is pointing, primarily, for the Monmouth Oaks.
