Named for the two 50,000 Arlington and Washington Park Futurities are three colts, Quizzed, Leampia and Intelligent the latter pair were sired by Olympia and two geldings Cold Water and Teddys Ace. Among the Hoopers promising, but untried, fillies are Olympia Lou, Miss Olympia and Miss Alabama. Appliable, Hoop Mood and Hoop Ring all visited the winners circle during their juvenile campaign here last year. Hooper, resident of Coral Gables, Fla., and a prominent construction contractor throughout the Sunshine State, has raced his horses and those of his wife at the coordinated Arlington-Washington meeting for the past nine years. Their first big stakes winner here came in 1946, when Parke saddled Education for a victory in the Washington Park Futurity. Since then such proven runners as Colosal and Olympia, sire of several current Hooper juveniles, earned their share of Arlington-Washington gold. Last year, Eddie Sue was the most prominent Hooper winner here, taking top honors in the Artful Stakes. In all, the string accounted for 16 wins during the 1953 summer session, a major part of the 46 Victories amassed in top-level competition throughout the year.
