KNIGHTS REWARD was not rushed while being outrun in the first half mile, but responded readily when called upon rearing the far turn and, although going rather wide in the stretch, wore down GOLDEN ADMIRAL to score under pressure. The latter had good speed from the start and held on well after racing MASTER RED into defeat. EQUAL STRIFE was also outpaced and was , required to go wide on the stretch turn, but closed with good courage. HAPPY QUEEN finished fairly well. MASTER RED tired after going six furlongs. JUST JUDY was rated within striking distance of the leaders to the last quarter, then went to the front to open up a good lead and was not menaced in the stretch. QUICK IMP set the pace and, while not good enough for the winner, was best of the others. ROZS STAR made ■ a couple of valiant attempts to get to the front but weakened in the stretch.
