Careys Leave for Derby Visit Robert F. Carey, managing director of Hawthorne Race Course, and Mrs. Carey will leave Chicago today for a visit to Louisville and the Kentucky Derby. While in the Blue Grass area, Carey will contact horsemen in the interest of the 3 5 -day fall meeting at Hawthorne. He also hopes to meet with Lincoln Plaut and other racing officials currently active at. Churchill Downs.
