Yellow Blossom Attracts Large Sportsmans Field Favored Top Weight Streaking Meets King and Judge Browdee SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, 111., May 2. — The second ladies day of the current meeting will be staged at this track Tuesday when the Yellow Blossom Purse, at seven furlongs, will be the top attraction. It is for a ,000 purse under allowance conditions and is virtually assured of having ten starters, as 13 runners, including three on the also eligible list, have been named. Tabbed as the probable favorite in the dash is Inverwood Farms Streaking, the : gray flash who was returned an easy winner ■ over W. H. Bishops Heredity in the s Blue Larkspur Purse last Thursday. Being : assigned the top weight of 120 pounds, , Streaking will be ridden by the veteran t reinsman, Job Dean Jessop. Jessop is one ; of Sportsmans Parks favorite jockeys, and I this combination is certain to make the : pair popular in the field. Seven of the others in the race already T have started at the current meeting, the balance making their 1955 Sportsmans 3 Park debut. Among those who have gone to the post are: Saunders and Swans Judge Browdee, Clover Leaf Farms King, H. D. Maggio and J. J. Gregorys Air Flight, E. H. Stones Rare Music, W. Swezeys Cherokee Pilot, Pollard and Harkins Close Out, W. F. Scotts Bill Pac, and W. H. Bishops Chara. Making their initial attempt at the meeting are: Mrs. E. K. Weils Centenaire, a handicap winner at the Cicero track last fall; Mrs. S. Smiths French Bleu, M. Mos-kowitz Hy Ill Go and Alsabs Ace. The latter belongs to W. H. Bishop, giving him a two-horse entry in the rape shqulcL both Alsabs Ace and Chara get to the post.
