Judge James Dooley of Narragan- sett Park. Lou Smith of Rockingham Park and B. A. Dario of Lincoln Downs, chief executives of New Englands four major race tracks, were collectively honored last night for their achievements in and con- tributions to the Yankee sports world at the annual dinner of the local sports lodge of Bnai Brith. A gathering of over 1,000 persons ap-; plauded as Bryan Field, general manager of Delaware Park and noted radio and television broadcaster presented each with silver trays. Field also related several amusing anecdotes about the foursome, drawing upon his extensive career in racing and his long friendship with all of the men. Many stars from various sports were in attendance and a number were also the recipients of Bnai Brth awards. Some of the celebrities included Lefty Grove, Tris Speaker, Jimmy Foxx, Harry Hooper, Dom DiMaggio, Duffy Lewis, Tony Demarco, Barney Ross, Jimmy McLarnin, Cy Young, Carl Hubbell. Charley Gehringer, Bob Cousy, Morris Podoloff, Lynn Patrick, Will Harridge. Lou Little, Tuss McLoughery. Red Auerbach, Sam Silverman, Curt Gowdy. Ted Lyons. Dazzy Vance, Casey Stengal, Milt Schmidt and Mike Higgins.
