L. Moore, bred by H. C. Fam. IN GATE-6:02 OFF AT 6:02 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good. Won easily; second and third driving. TOY FOX easily settled into a clear lead, was rated along setting the pace and, after widening on the field, was being eased up through the last forty yards. JERRYS BEST could not match speed with the top pair early, but continued evenly in the drive and outfinished VALS KID. The latter dropped back from a good beginning on the first turn, came out slightly for the drive and rallied mildly when punished. FAITHFUL RING raced well for six furlongs and weakened. FUGITIVE was not a factor. DOVER DAM showed nothing. BRASSFIELD was under restraint from the beginning when his rider lost both irons leaving the gate, but he raced strongly outside horses for a half-mile before the rider was able to take him back of the field.
