Cecil J. Lasserre, 65, Dies Of Heart Attack in Louisville CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky.. May 10.— Cecil J. Lasserre, 65, passed away early today while en route from the local track to Norton Infirmary, the victim of a heart attack. Lasserre, who made his home at 5940 Memphis Street, New Orleans. Louisiana, had a wide acquaintance among racing folk, having been on the turf for more than 30 years. In recent years Lassere had been connected with various mutuel departments in Kentucky, Louisiana, Nebraska, and Michigan. Prior to that time, he was a Morse system, telegrapher. He was also an expert pricemaker and furnished the morning lines at several tracks on which Lasserre, recently discharged from a lo- ■ft I cal hospital after suffering a mild, attack, :, came to the Downs yesterday and put in 1 his usual day.
