Jack Young Will Replace Plaut in Stewards Stand CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 2.. — It was announced Thursday by Churchill Downs officials that Jack Young, a veteran steward who has served here in the stand before, would replace Lincoln Plaut for the duration of the latters injury. Plaut tripped on a telephone wire in his 1 office on Monday, suffering an "inconclusive fracture of the right hip." He is expected to undergo, surgery shortly and may be out of action for several weeks.
