JEWELS REWARD, away alertly, was taken in hand while PUNDIT set the pace to the last three-eighths mile, drifted out entering.the stretch but settled for the drive with a short lead, then responded to punishment and held NOUREDDIN safe. NOUREDDIN, reserved until rearing the stretch, brushed with JEWELS REWARD at the three-sixteenths mile post, core in when punished from "the near side during the drive and could not overtake JEWELS REWARD, although easily best of the tthers. A foul claim against JEWELS REWARD by NOUREDDINs rider was not allowed. MARTINS RULLAH, away sluggishly and, outrun to the stretch, closed willingly in the middle of the track but could not seriously threaten the top pair. WING JET lacked early foot and failed ; to respond when set down through the stretch. NASCO, away fast, failed to stay after showing early speed. EBONY PEARL could not keep up. PUNDIT, j hustled to the front immediately after the start, set the pace until .rear the stretch and thtn gave way.
