Samford Sent to Buffalo DETROIT, Mich., May 13 UP. — The Detroit Tigers today sent infielder Ron Samford to Buffalo of the International League after obtaining waivers on him. Samford, 25, who came, to the Tigers from the New York Giants on waivers earlier this spring, was placed on waivers two days ago when Detroit trimmed its roster to the 25 -player limit.
