CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES f c and Mr. and Mrs. D. S. "Des" Dressen are leaving Friday for Detroit where Mr. Dressen is in charge of the mutuels department at the Fair Grounds track. John Anhut, prominent lawyer of Detroit has returned to that city after shipping from here several horses that will race under his colors during the coming season. The thoroughbreds were sent to the Detroit Fair Grounds. The Anhut farm is one of the few breeding establishments in Michigan. John B. McKee, horseman of Mt. Sterling, Ky., would like to get in touch with R. C. "Brownie" Brown, caretaker who formerly worked for him. Brown is believed to be in lower California. For G. H. Marlman, who is racing several horses at Hot Springs, Lou Meripol Is putting Isaiah, Nemont, Foggy Night and Denise M. through early preparation at Douglas Park. Marlman is expected here next week. A large division of H. H. Cross Tranquillity Farm under trainer Edward Snyder will be transferred to Kecneland in time for the opening there. Drafts from the stables of J. H. Skirvin, E. Daingerfield, Lee ODon-nell, J. P. Jones and other establishments now at the Downs and Douglas Park also are slated for racing at Keeneland. John Marsch, Chicago turf patron and breeder,-returned Thursday and after seeing the horses Roscoe Goose is training for him through their training exercises Friday will leave for Lexington to inspect his breeding stock and sucklings. W. Boganowski, popular saddle veteran, is the latest addition to the local ,riding, colony. He came from Hot Springs.
