SPANISH RED hustled along from the start, disposed of MANNIE after three-quarters, drew clear rapidly, but tired in the final eighth. SIGHTING BAR raced evenly. GOLDEN KNIGHT made up ground. WISPY, outrun early, improved its position on the inside, responded to strong urging, was sent to the outside of LADY DEMOCRAT in the stretch and won drawing away. LADY DEMOCRAT, under steadying restraint for five-eighths, disposed of ANIMATE when ready, drew away rapidly, but tired fast near the end. SHALOT worked his way forward steadily and held on well. CAPTAIN LOGAN had no mishaps. CAPTAIN RED tired. ANIMATE was done after a half mile. Corrected weight Yancey, 115.
