0AKLAWN PARK NOTES e c Judge John Pruett, for many years jurist of the circuit court at ML Sterling, Ky., and an ardent racing devotee, left for his homo after a stay of three weeks in this famous health resort. William Day, Madisonville, Ky., breeder and turfman, announced the sale of Blessed Again to Mrs. F. J. Murphy of Evansville, Ind., and Odie Clelland will direct the training of the racer in the future. John Oros of Aurora, 111., has shipped six horses he is training for Mrs. E. Oros to Arlington Downs, while the remainder of the string went to the Fox Valley Jockey Club track for a rest. Jockey Porter Roberts will depart for Lexington, Ky., following the close of the Oaklawn Park meeting, where he will do the riding for the stable of J. O. Keene. Ray Hightshoe, contract rider for Mrs. V. Wyse, who will have the. mount on Eastport in the renewal of the Arkansas Derby, arrived from Texas Friday morning and made his initial appearance of the meeting in the saddle during the afternoon. W. L. McCue will remain at Oaklawn until April 20, with the thoroughbreds he has for J. McDonough, in addition to his own, then will transfer his charges to Washington Park. Marion Hum, trainer for R. L. Oldham, has made preparations to ship his charges to Arlington Downs Sunday morning and will campaign throughout the spring season in Texas. Morris Griner, acting for J. D. Weil, Lexington sportsman, purchased Paraguay Tea from S. McPherson. The terms were private and the new acquisition, along with other members of the Weil menage, will be shipped to Keeneland on Sunday morning. Jim Chesney, Belleville, 111., turfman, has completed arrangements for the shipment of Mrs. J. Chcsneys racers to Churchill Downs on Sunday. The stable is headed by the Kentucky Derby candidate, Carl S. Among the turfmen who will get away for Louisville, Ky., following the close of the Oaklawn meeting are Nick Burger, J. L. Winscher, T. L. Pierce, Claude Hunt and Moddy Jolley.
