PLAY LINE, going in the thick of contention from the start, responded to - a strong drive in the last five-sixteenths and, closing strongly, wore down JACKFULL approaching the finish. JACKFULL gained a slight lead after overhauling BALCONY and fought it out stoutly when the real test came. LITTLE DINAH, shuffled back midway of the back stretch, recovered to better her position steadily and was wearing the first two down gradually after stealing through on the inside entering the stretch. BALCONY raced in her best form and had no excuses. ROYAL FLIGHT could not menace. OPOCA tired. BURNING BILLOWS was never a factor. CONTRIBUTE was crowded back directly after the start. DONNA LEONA hustled into a contending position and, having good speed to follow in near pursuit of IN TRANSIT, took command when straightened into the stretch and, continuing stoutly, drew away under steady pressure. MOONS MISSION raced in the first flight, secured racing room on the inside and finished stoutly. TRAP NEST raced in the first flight and finished courageously through the final eighth. SHRED, well placed and hustled hard, held on well to the close. IN TRANSIT began swiftly and had good speed for three-eighths before tiring. WAR JEST could not better her position. OlR CREST forced a steady pace while going in attendance of the pacemaker, moved to the front smoothly when, reaching the stretch, continued stoutly under clever handling and drew out at the close. BLAKEEN, forced to race on the inside to maintain a forward position, finished gamely under a hard drive in the late stages. MONDORF was slower than usual to settle into his stride, swung to the outside and closed gamely. TELLINGYOU finished with a belated rush, but its rider could not do his mount justice after losing one of his stirrup irons. EMIR, shuffled back early, circled his field and closed gamely. NARISE, rated close to MANY MOONS for the first three-quarters, gained the lead slowly at the turn out of the back stretch, drew clear at the stretch turn and was shaken up lightly in the final drive to stall off MISS DIGNITY. The latter raced along strongly while close to the leaders and finished with good ourage when put to a hard drive. BE BIG was steadied for three-quarters and was unable to menace seriously in the final issue. GOLDSPRAY could not enter contention at any stage. The latter dwelt slightly when the start came, dropped far out of contention, but closed with a tremendous rush while weaving his way between horses at the end. DEBATE had good speed to race prominently throughout and held on gamely. TONIANNA made a strong bid entering the stretch, but faltered in the stretch drive. FOXY LOCKSY had no excuses. SANDY BOY, rated close to the leaders, raced to the front at the turn out of the back stretch, saved ground, but tired in the final drive. LANGUOROUS closed gamely after bettering her position on the cutside. VANCE was never dangerous. GO QUICKLY had much speed early, but tired when caught. ERINS SUN raced CUBAN BOY into submission, but tired , in the last quarter mile. LEGENDER, awav slowly, closed an immense " gap. CUBAN BOY raced stoutly for seven-eighths, then tired.
