DRASTIC LANE worked his way up on the outside, responded well to hard urging and, under steady urging, outstayed GOLDEN GOWER. The latter, away slowly, lacked early speed, but improved his position after a half mile and was wearing down the winner. MISINFORMATION began slowly, raced wide and closed with a rush. SPEY FOX showed good speed for three-quarters while setting the pace and tired thereafter. BLIND HOPE had no mishaps. TROUBADORA had speed for a half mile and was eased in the stretch. The latter saved ground throughout, got to the front in the stretch, but could not withstand the challenge of the winner. BAHADUR was hustled into the lead soon after the break, set the pace for seven-eighths, then tired. GRANDMAS BOY was well up for the entire trip and tired in the drive. NAWAB had no mishaps.
