SONNY SAN showed fine early speed and, sprinting into a good lead after going a quarter, was never in serious danger and won in hand. PAT SKILFUL had good speed and went fairly well to the end. DARK DAY closed ground under urging to best BAY HAVEN. The latter was in close quarters on the inside soon after the start and, although making up ground, never threatened the first two. MY CHICKADEE got through on the inside of COPPER LAD after leaving the back stretch and, opening up a good lead on the stretch turn, had enough left to hold LADY FITZ. The latter came very fast in the stretch and would have won in a few more strides. COPPER LAD had good early speed, but tired. PIPE DOWN was close enough to the leaders in the first half mile, but bore out in the stretch and quit badly.-COTLO BESS was badly outrun early. Overweight Lady Fitz, 4 pounds; Collo Bess, 3. JOHNNIE D. moved up gamely on the inside of the winner coming to the stretch turn but tired near the finish. BLINKEM showed good early speed and, although tiring in the stretch, was good enough to hold ELIZABETH T. The latter broke with the others but could not keep up. The others were badly outrun. SUSPENSION raced to the front early to take a good lead and, well rated while setting the pace, had enough left at the end to hold HILSINGER safe. The latter was hard ridden in the run home, but, although gaining, could not get up. QUOTUM was outrun to the last quarter, then closed much ground. FLUKE finished fairly well. ON THE GO well rated, was always close to the pace and, coming strongly on the outside of LIUH1 ZEPHYR in the stretch and outpaced the latter. LIGHT ZEPHYR, held under restraint many lengths back of the pace in the early running, was sent from a pull to a drive after leaving the back stretch and quickly found an opening to eet to the front but had much taken out of her by her sudden move and could not hold the winner. SARSITA showed improvement and went fairly well.
