COLUMBIA DOWNS CLOSES VANCOUVER, Wash., June 11. Columbia Downs closed today when general manager Hildenbrandt announced that racing scheduled for Saturday and Sunday would not be held and that any further attempts to go on would be futile. Poor transportation facilities and dog track competition were the principal factors in bringing. the abbreviated meeting to an abrupt end.
