NO TRUTH IN CHICAGO RUMORS E. Paul Waggoner Denies Report He Is Negotiating for Purchase of Washington Park Track. LATONIA, Ky., June 11. E. Paul Waggoner, millionaire Texan and part owner of the Three Ds Stock Farm, who arrived here today from Kansas City, denied reports that interests representing him were negotiating for the Washington Park track near Chicago, or any other race course. He branded the reports as absurd. "What I would like to do," said the Texas sportsman, "Is to dispose of some of the many thoroughbreds we now own, as we have too many at present, and really are interested only in racing the better type horses." When questioned as to the possible reopening of the Arlington Downs track for a meeting before repeal of the certificate betting law goes into effect in Texas, Waggoner said that he and his brother, Guy L. Waggoner, were seriously considering such a move. "If we decide to go through with it, the track would open some time in August," Waggoner said. Waggoner came here to see his good three-year-old, Heelfly, perform in the Latonia Derby. He was accompanied by his nephew, William T. Waggoner H.
