I LONG BRANCH TURF NOTES j : Jockey C. W. Smith, who has been riding as a free lance in Ontario, departs for Montr real on Sunday morning and will be on hand to do saddle duty at the Blue Bonnets meeting. The stable of J. G. Fair will be shipped to the Blue Bonnets course at the conclusion of this meeting. The Medway Stable plans to send a division of their large, stable to Rockingham Park at the conclusion of this meeting, and it will be under the direction of trainer G. Alexandra. The Canadian division has been turned over to G. W. Lucas to train, and will remain for the Dufferin Park meeting. Apprentice J. Crawford of Brantford, Ont, accepted the first mount of his career when he piloted Notrouble in the fourth race Friday. Crawford is 16 years of age and scales at eighty pounds. He is under contract to J. G. Fair. S. Caplans Baggataway, which competed in the distance events at Woodbine Park and which has been given a rest, has been returned to active training and will be ready for the Dufferin Park meeting. Three carloads of horses, including the stables of T. Smith, Gilburn Stable, W. D. Reddy, G. K. Allen, A. Burrell, C. N. Withers, A. Hopeley, E. Abernathy and J. McCann, departed from Thorncliffe Park, Thursday night, for the Blue Bonnets course in Montreal. The stables of J. B. Miller, which includes six head, J. E. Hughes, E. Casey and R. Johnson were to leave Saturday from Long Branch for Montreal.
