HAVRE DE GRACE STATISTICS Seabiscuit Proves Star of Maryland Meeting, Earning ,175. Time Alones Eastern Shore Victory Worth More, but Older Star Holds Limelight. The Eastern Shore Handicap was the outstanding race from a monetary standpoint at Havre de Grace during the eleven day3 of racing from September 16 to September 28, but the victory of Seabiscuit in the Havre de Grace Handicap made that affair overshadow the juvenile feature in importance. The Charles S. Howard star increased his earnings by ,175 through his triumph and removed some of the doubts of his ability prevailing among experts and the public alike. During the eleven days of racing horsemen shared prizes of 17,475 among them, a daily average of 0,679.55. Mrs. F. A. Carreaud took the lions share when her horses won 1,775 for first honors for their owner. Menow put Hal Price Headley second when he won the Potomac Handicap, but he broke down, running third to biscuit later. Time Alone was the Carreaud winner, his big victory occurring in the Eastern Shore. Johnny Gilbert was in rare form and won nineteen races. H.
