I BELMONT PARK TURF NOTES s s Walter Carter has taken over four yearlings for Jack Warner of motion pictures, and will campaign the youngsters at Hialeah Park under the nom de course of War Bern Stable. Joe W. Brown arrived from New Orleans to witness his T. M. Dorsett race in the Futurity. George Conway will ship a van of the Glen Riddle stable to Narragansett Park some time this week. Word was received of the serious illness of E. R. Burch, secretary of the Miami Jockey Club at Miami. He suffered a stroke. H. M. Woolf left for his Kansas City home after the running of the Futurity. Judge Quigley of Del Mar was among the visitors. Ninety-seven layers were on line for the final day of the meeting. No change in post time will be made during the Jamaica meeting according to officials of that track. Joseph E. Widener, president of the Westchester Racing Association, who was kept away from the Belmont Park meeting until the final day by reason of ill health, was on hand for the Futurity. He said he wished to express his gratitude to the horsemen for their co-operation in entering and running their horses through the days of inclement weather that marked the season.
