1 WOODBINE PARK NOTES $ S. Walker purchased the plater Foliage from the Empress Stable at private terms. David S. Gillies, former presiding steward on the I. C. R. A. tracks, was a visitor at Woodbine Park for the final days sport. Jockey Sterling Young led the riders for the meeting. Young was astride fourteen winners during the first six days. A. Pas-cuma and A. Schmidl have four each, while jockey McTague and Lindberg were astride three. The camera booth at Thorncliffe Park will be moved from the top of the judges stand to the roof of the grandstand before the opening in 1939. A. Harvey, owner of the "Eye in the Sky," was at the Lake Side course to assist in finding a new location for the new booth. Col. J. R. Henderson of Hamilton was a clubhouse visitor at Woodbine for the final days sport. The Cosgrave Stable was. the leading winner of the first six days of the Woodbine Park meeting when their horses earned ,660. C. Smythe was next with ,350, H. R. Bain, ,080, and Erindale Stable, ,925. During the Long Branch meeting Eddie . Pollard will accept entries at the Woodbine track. Entries will close at 9:15, while scratch time will be 8:15 a. m. : Trainer L. Ronald reports that F. Ham-r mers Pagan King and Mrs. C. Hagans Gov- ernor Bill have been sent to Dr. Hodgins farm to be turned out for the winter.
