BARTOLOZZI propped at the break and raced greenly in the running, moved up fast on the outside rounding the stretch and was bearing in near the finish. FINE AIRS, a forward factor from the start, saved ground rounding the stretch turn, but faltered at the end. ANOPHELES, a forward factor from the start, faltered under pressure. AUDLEY GIRL began slowly and made up ground steadily. FOXTON showed an even effort all the way. MISS PENNY raced greenly. CAUTELEAUX lacked speed. GENGIS KHAN II. had no mishaps. DARK REVUE followed the pace under steady restraint until the far turn, where she was roused and assumed command in the stretch, then drew away. JUDGES VERDICT was sent into command after the start and was rated along under mild restraint, saving ground throughout, then was placed under pressure rounding the turn, but could not stand off the rush of the winner. THE STORY was well up all the way and had no mishaps. FRANK H. saved ground throughout and outlasted CRYSTAL PRINCE. The latter made up some ground through the stretch from his usual slow beginning.
