t JAMAICA TURF NOTES Tf s Jockey R. Eccard arrived from Havre de Grace and will ride at this meeting. Jockey W. Yarberry checked in from Rockingham Park and accepted his first mount in the opening race Monday. Canape, owned by Mrs. B. Franzheim, came out of his race on Saturday badly cut behind and will be on the shelf for some time. S. Freeman, a newcomer to racing, purchased Shadytown from Geo. MoMitchell and turned the new acquisition over to Lon Johnson to train. The horses owned by E. E. Fogelson, in charge of trainer W. R. Kanatzer, arrived from Maryland to race here. A. J. Joyner was among the opening day visitors. He will remain for several days before proceeding to Erdenheim Farm, near Philadelphia. Joseph E. Widener, after witnessing the final days racing at Belmont Park, returned to his Philadelphia home. Jockeys Faust and Fels were among the arrivals and joined the local riding colony. Warren Wright departed for his Chicago home following the close of the Belmont Park meeting. Trainer Frank Kearns will campaign the stable here. The Woolford Farm, which vanned seventeen horses here from Belmont Park, will go to Maryland following the close of the Empire City meeting. The Mrs. J. Hertz horses, following the close of the New York season, will go into winter quarters at Cary, 111.
