- SPORTSMANS OPENS MONDAY Creech String of Twenty Largest on Grounds 0 Toole and Davison Stables Are Regulars. CICERO, HI., Oct. 3 Many of the stables vhich have been racing on the Illinois cii cuit- most of the season, will be represented during the meeting which opens at Sportsmans Park next Monday. Probably the largest stable on the grounds will be that of Mrs. A. M. Creech, which embraces neaily twenty head and which is expected to play an important part in the division of the prize money. Attached to the stable are two able apprentices, Robert Conley and Delpha Castille, whose services are expected to be much in demand at the popular little half-mile plant. Two other large stables which are likely to make their presence felt during the nineteen days here are those of Mrs. M. E. OToole, whose horses race under the name Of the Blue Ridge Farm, and C. E. Davison. These outfits have been regulars at Sportsmans Park just as they have been on other Illinois tracks. Some of the other establishments which are expected to figure prominently here are those of Dan Hardy, V. E. Berry, W. W. Gos-selin, John Bainton, R. O. Higdon, J. T. Withers, III., W. A. Mikel, Leo Beyda, Frank Abbate and F. A. Riley. The Le Mar Stock Farm will be represented here for the first time this fall. J. P. Keezek will have a division of the stable, probably eight horses.
