He came from Brooksville, Ind. The stewards announced they had suspended indefinitely Will Lee Johnson, rider of Ada W.f which was disqualified Friday. !M. Butcher, who rode Felawake, which was placed first, was fined 5 for striking Johnson with his whip. Mose Goldblattr whose horses are quartered at Churchill Downs, made his first visit of the meeting Saturday. W. Westerfield arrived from Sportsmans Park with John N. Anhuts Imperial Sir, Just Imperial, Imperial Ronie, Imperial Sally and Imperial Queen. Before leaving the Chicago track, Westerfield disposed of Imperial Jean to Lloyd Geving for a private consideration. Another arrival from Chicago was Gus Simone, who brought his consistent Dora May. Jockey Melvin Calvert checked in from Long Branch, the Toronto, Canada, track, and will accept mounts beginning Monday. Starter Jack Hodgins schooling list includes Big Business, Busy Master and Sun Apollo. Dr. E. E. Watson left here Saturday for Beulah Park, where he will apply the firing irons to a number of horses and will later continue to Huntington, W. Va., where he will fire Bandy Jay and Harold H. for A. C. Snyder. Biography, which has been turned out since spring at a Lexington, Ky., farm, was taken up by M. P. Lyons and brought here, where he is racing a small stable. It was learned this morning that Clyde Ordue disposed of the contract he held on. apprentice Earl Henson to Paul Priddy.
