! SPORTSMANS PARK NOTES f hB : R. R. Salvino has made arrangements to ship Jane W., Orbedlu and Scotch Muff to Shreveport after the close of the local season. Quite a number of other stables here, will take part in the Louisiana season. W. I. Pultz took over the training of the horses owned by W. C. Reichert, the latter having gone to his farm. J. Maloney left here for River Downs with Sailorman, Clasp, Bay Boy, Tibi and Tuo, owned by Mrs. C. E. Steward. In a private transaction Mrs. Dave Hum acquired Busse Trumpet and Port Girl from P. Li. Kelley. Her husband will train the horses. M. E. Gostello took oyer Bomar to train for Mrs. J. Purpura. M. A. Haller, who trains Black River for Mrs. Rose Sullivan, was stricken with appendicitis Saturday morning and was rushed to a local hospital. Because of Hallers illness, Black River was withdrawn from the sixth race here Saturday afternoon.
