CARDINALS SEEKING REVENGE Charlie Bidwill Sends Football Team Against the Bears Sunday. Wrigley Field Scene of Renewal of Civic Feud Between Old Windy City Pigskin Rivals. The Chicago Cardinals pro football team, owned by Charlie Bidwill, popular Chicago sportsman, will tangle once more with their arch rivals, the Chicago Bears, at Wrigley Field Sunday afternoon. Any football fan who has witnessed past meetings between these two teams knows what to expect no quarter from either side. Al Babartsky, one of Fordhams famous "seven rocks of granite," will make his debut in the Cardinal -line at tackle. In case he needs any rest during the game he will be replaced by Elwyn Dunstan, a 250-pound tackle from Portland University, who stands six feet 4 inches igh. He was injured in the memorable game between the Bears and Cardinals at Soldiers Field earlier in the season. Dunstan is back in condition again and may be lookinp for revenge. "RAZZLE DAZZLE." The aerial game of the Cardinals is one of the best in the pro jeague and, as fans like a "razzle dazzle" display, they will see the greatest exponents of this type of attack now operating. The Cardinals are not limited to one or two passers, such as Sammy Baugh or Cecil Isbell, but have two and even three star passers in Paddlefoot Sloan, Pat Coffee and Bobbins, any one of whom may not be able to thread a needle Continued on thirty-fourth page. CARDINALS SEEKING REVENGE .Continued from first page. i but certainly can lay a football in the arms of a receiver. Unfortunately for the Cardinals, their star receivers, Gaynell Tinsley, a sensation last season, and Bill Smith both have been plagued by injuries and are not in condition to make good the brililant passing of the Crimson-clad backs. However, Coach Milan Creighton states his star ends are in much better shape for the Bear game and predicts the passing game will flourish in all its glory. The Chicago Bears, without Bronko Na-gurski, are not the rip-snorting aggregation of past seasons and this may be the game in which the Cardinals will score that long-sought triumph over their northside rivals. HALAS EXPERIMENTING. George Halas, Bear owner and coach, has been doing some experimenting with new backfield material and has not been able to weld thern into a strong scoring unit yet. The Cardinal running attack will be strengthened because of the return of Dougall Russell, who has been out since the Green Bay Packer game with an injured leg. He is the fastest man on the squad and i liable to get away for long runs the moment his teammates give him an opening big enough to squeeze through for fast start. Coach Creighton attributes the lack of victories on the Cardinals part to indifferent downfield blocking after a man is in the clear. If Smith and Tinsley operate at full power, with their threat of long forward passes, it may spread the Bear line for the running backs and keep the North Side huskies on edge trying to guess from which quarter the attack will come. Chicago fans can gamble that this game will be no tea party. Its a blood feud of long standing and every inch either team gains will be earned through sweat and muscular endeavor, .There will be no concessions.
