j 1 McCORMICKS NEW POST LEXINGTON Ky., Oct. 15. Joseph E. Widener, president of the Miami Jockey Club, announced that Sam H. McCormick, local lumber dealer and ardent racing enthusiast, had accepted the position as secretary-treasurer of the Hialeah track, recently made vacant by the sudden death of E. R. Burch. McCormick will leave soon to take up his duties at Hialeah Park and have year-round supervision of the plant. He has constructed many barns and other buildings on local stock farms, is president of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce of which position he is resigning.
