FRISCH MAY PILOT BROWNS ST. LOUIS, Mo., Oct. 15. Frankie Frischj deposed manager of the St. Louis Cardinals has made application to manage the St. Louis Browns next year, according to an announcement made by General Manager William O. De Witt of the Browns. De Witt stated that the Fordham flash was "among those who have applied" to succeed Gabby Street, whose contract was not renewed. Three other former managers all veterans of the National League, are also listed for the post. They are Jimmy Wilson, who quit the Philadelphia Phillies at the end of the season; Burleigh Grimes, fired by Brooklyn; and Max Carey, one time Brooklyn manager.
