TWO THIRTY raced true and showed speed from the start, responded when urged and shook off determined opposition from OLD RIVER and was under urging to the end. OLD RIVER, a forward factor while racing true on the inside, made a determined bid when urged, but could not overtake the winner. PENELOPE D. was closing fast through the final quarter mile. IDA ROGERS showed early speed and had no mishaps m the running. WANNA HYGRO showed an even effort all the way. WATERTOWN faltered steadily in the final quarter mile. Won easily; second and third the same. AIRLY BEACON followed the early pace under steady restraint while jumping steadily, moved up fast when urged, assumed command going to the final fence and drew away at the end. HOMBURG set a fast pace from the start, raced early opposition into defeat and was not persevered with at the finish. HE GOES was outrun in the early stages and made up ground on tired horses at the finish. MILLRACE was a forward factor in the early running, made a bad landing at the eleventh fence and then tired badly. TRAFFIC LIGHT jumped well and showed early speed, tiring badly at the finish. SWIFTGOLD jumped greenly and was outrun all the way. TRADE tired badly and was not persevered with at the finish. THIRD RACE 4 1-2 FURLONGS Widener Course. The latter, a forward factor from the start, made a determined bid when urged and then hung at the finish. THORN APPLE, a prominent factor from the start, faltered steadily in the final sixteenth. OUCH closed ground steadily through the final quarter mile. CUTTER could not keep up in the early stages. .SHOWUM had a flash of early speed. DISCERNING raced well all the way. STAR GALLA had a flash of early speed while racing on the outside. THE MOUNT raced greenly. YELLOW DUST was never a factor. ONLY GIRL and SPITEFUL were outrun. The latter, in near pursuit of the pace from the start, was placed under severe pressure in the final eighth and finished with good courage. HE DID, a forward factor from the start, hung in the final sixteenth. SCENESHIFTER raced true on the outside all the way and had no mishaps. Won easily; second and third driving. HASH displayed speed from the start, raced BLACK LEGION into defeat, swung wide entering the stretch and drew away in the final sixteenth. GET OFF moved up courageously after the start on the outside, responded in the stretch run, but hung at the end. TIME SHEET was cased back in the early running, came through on the inside entering the stretch and finished well. BLACK LEGION forced the pace from the start and had no excuses in the running. CHIP IN raced extremely wide entering the stretch run. RODIN could not keep up under pressure. AIRACUDA faltered steadily in the stretoh run. MY PORTER broke in a tangle and was outrun in the early stages, improved his position on the outside and closed gamely at the end. BELAY, away slowly and badly outrun the first part, moved up stoutly rounding the stretch turn and then hung in the final strides. COUNTERPOISE was sent up fast going to the far turn and then quit. BLOND SPOOK faltered in the final eighth. BAILIWICK lacked early speed. STALAGMITE was never a factor. SPANISH DOT tired badly. CELEBRANT quit badly in the stretch after showing early speed.
