j NARRAGANSETTTURF NQTES~| Marshall H. Smith arrived from Maryland, bringing Fight Back, which he will race in New England this summer. Chronicle, a starter in the first race Wednesday, was ordered scratched owing to" lack of proper identification. A check-up of the nominations for the Newport Handicap, Narragansetts closing-day feature, indicates thct one of the largest fields of the current meeting will go to the post on Saturday. Given fair weather and a fast track, it is probable that fourteen or fifteen will face that issue. Probable starters already on the grounds and pointed for this stake are Clodion, Pagliacci, Sun Inplay, Mythical King, Wise Prince, Our Ketcham, Be Jabbers, Silk Mask, War Minstrel, Rhodium, Polly Hastings, Harp Weaver, Panther • Creek, OBantam and Sirasia. Most of these have already raced at Narragansett. Jimmy Ashcroft, who has been idle since Saturday, had five mounts Wednesday.
