McNUTT TO VISIT CHINA MANILA, P. I., May 11— Philippine High Commissioner Paul V. McNutt today was en route to Northern China on the first leg of a trip to the United States. The former Indiana governor was given a colorful military send off and President Manzuel Quezon, in the name of the Filipino people expressed "deep appreciation for the sympathies and nelpful attitude you have shown." Quezon gave McNutt a set of Philippine and American flags encased in Philippine hardwood to present to President Roosevelt. After a two-weeks visit in China, McNutt expects to sail from Shanghai aboard the President Coolidge, arriving at San Francisco about June 20.
