H. H. Brown will prepare to ship his string to Chicago and Al Ketchell will make up a carload for Detroit. J. Summers arrived bringing two head, Perfect Peace and First Entry. Jockey J. G. Wilson will go to Suffolk Downs, where he will do most of the riding for H. and H. Stock Farm. Wilson has been engaged to ride Be Blue in the opening stake at the East Boston track, Racing secretary Bob Shelley announced that he would turn over his office to repre- sentatives of Suffolk Downs for the purpose of taking entries Saturday morning. The Rosedale Stable will ship the entire strin to Suffolk Downs. Both of the stable contract riders, Ted Dickinson and Ray Adair, will handle the riding assignments at the Downs. The string that R. E. Gerth has been cam- paigning at Narragansett will be transferred to Charles Town. Mrs. P. A. Shaws Stage Beauty, brought back to the races after a winters rest, is taking kindly to her training at Gansett. Breaking from the gate Thursday morning, Stage Beauty worked three-quarters in 1:15. The suspension of jockey F. Maschek has been continued to include the closing day of the meeting. Arthur Hullcoat arrived at Gansett to look over some of his stock being trained by Finley McDonald. Hullcoat will leave for Delaware immediately after the meeting, but will bring fourteen head back for the summer meeting here. A claim for Schnozzle in the fourth race Wednesday was disallowed when it was found that the animal, listed on the program as a colt, was a gelding. Bert Pomeroy and E. T. Miller, trainer for the Jerry McCarthy Stables, will ship to North Randall, Ohio, immediately after the current meeting. Apprentice Eddie Robart, who has been temporarily inactive, resumed riding Thursday. George Mayberry is making preparations to take his stable to Suffolk Downs over the week-end. Jimmy Ferris, custodian of the Gansett jockeys room, will leave for North Randall Sunday to assume charge of the jockeys room at that track. George Odom -will ship to New York at -the close of the meeting. Jockey J. Chalmers will accompany him. John Brouse, who trains for B. A. Dario Pawtucket automobile man, ships to Suf-sulk Downs next Sunday. Robby Robertson will also take his string to the East Boston track; Both will be back for the Gansett summer meeting. Robert McAuliffe, member of Bob Shelleys staff, leaves for Chicago Sunday. McAuliffe will work at the North Randall meeting, then, return to Arlington Park, Washington Park and Hawthorne for the re mamder of the summer.
