1 CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES I 0 The nine horses that Johnny Zoeller has here for the Glad Acres Farm will be transferred to Detroit Saturday morning. Jockey Jimmy Littrell reported ill to the clerk of scales Wednesday afternoon and was permitted to cancel the two mounts he was scheduled to ride. Mose Goldblatt returned from Cincinnati, where he was called to his home last week, due to the serious illness of his wife. Mrs. Goldblatt now is somewhat improved. Three horses arrived at Douglas Park Wednesday from Beulah Park, Chiefs Boy and Lena J., owned by Woodcock and King, and G. W. Dunns My Feng, making the trip from Grove City by van. Baylor O. Hickman, Louisville sportsman, and breeder, reported the arrival of a bay colt at his nurser/ near the Falls City Wednesday morning. The youngster is by Apprehension — Myth and is a half-brother to the recent winner, Tyr. The seven-year-old gelding Judge Blake, which had been turned out at Scoggan Jones farm near Louisville for more than a year, has been taken up by Lee Niles and will be returned to training. The division of the Shandon Farm stable of P. A. and R. J. Nash, which J. J. .Greely, Jr., has here, was augmented by the arrival from Pimlico of the Kentucky Oaks candidates, Morstep and Blazearound, and Lady Elgin, Fair Rock, Rawson and Crusheen. The latter is the property of Miss Nan OMal-ley. Burning Star and five others, which J. J. Greely, Sr., has at Pimlico, are due to arrive here the latter part of the meeting and when both divisions are combined they will be in charge of J. J. Greely, Sr., who will take the horses to Lincoln Fields at the close of the current meeting. E. E. Miner, of the Railway Express Agency, arrived from Baltimore Wednesday and will assist horsemen in arranging their shipments to other tracks. The large and pretentious stable that Howard Oots and Howard Wells train for various owners will be campaigned at three different tracks this summer. Howard Wells will take twenty-eight head to Lincoln Fields, Howard Oots will have ten head for the Delaware Park season, and Charles Hoiibre will take ten to North Randall. Registration blanks for the Lincoln Fields meeting are being distributed by Larry Bogenschutz at the racing secretarys office and owners and trainers shipping to the Crete track are urged to file their registrations as early as possible to expedite the handling of this detail. The . veteran campaigner, Lucky Amelia, and the juveniles, Kickory and Ramoose, will be turned out at Mrs. R. J. Murphys Burr Mur Farm, near Evansville, Ind., according to trainer Otis Clelland.
