OCEAN AIR MAIL MAY 20 Postmaster General James A. Farley has announced that if the Civil Aeronautics Authority acts favorably upon the application of Pan American Airways, Inc., for a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity to operate an air mail service across the Atlantic Ocean to Europe, it is expected that the first flight will be flown from New York May 20, 1939, to Marseille, France, via Horta, -Azores and Lisbon, Portugal and re-iturn.
