MARYLAND YEARLING SHOW Judge Major R. Parrs Bay Colt by Aethelstan II. — Pair Advocate I Winner of Contest. BALTIMORE, Md., May 11.— A bay colt by Aethelstan II. and Fair Advocate, bred and displayed by Major Ral Parr, was adjudged the best of the thirty colts and twenty-two fillies in the eighth annual yearling show of the Maryland Horse Breeders Association held at Pimlico this morning. After being selected as the best of the colts by James Fitzsimmons, the half-brother to Hypocrite was judged best in the show by the judging committee composed of Fitzsimmons, Harry Rites and Steve Judge. Mrs. R. H. Heighes Tamil, a bay colt by Aethelstan II. and In India was named the reserve champion after being the runner-up in the colt class. Harry Rites, who judged the fillies, selected Dividend, bay daughter of Aethelstan II. and Miss Dinwiddie as best. She was shown by Mrs. Heighe. The Harford Agricultural and Breeders Association offered the silver trophy to the colt winner and the Southern Maryland Agricultural Association the filly award, while the championship cup was donated by the breeders association.
