BOMBING PLANES REACH BASE SAN DIEGO, Calif., May 11.— Twenty bombing patrol planes were back in San Diego after a 2,100-mile non-stop flight from the Gulf of Fonseca on the Honduran-Paci- fic coast. The planes returned from participating in the recent maneuvers in the Caribbean Sea and took nineteen and one-half hours to make the flight. The main body of the fleet, meanwhile, was believed to be off the coast of Baja California, Mexico, en route to its San Diego and San Pedro bases. The ships are expected to reach San Diego tomorrow.
