HAVRE DE GRACE STATISTICS 30,900 Distributed During Spring Meeting of Thirteen Days. Gilded Knights Score in Chesapeake Stakes Highlight of Meeting— H. G. Bedwell Leading Trainer. The Harford Agricultural and Breeders Association distributed 30,9CD among the horsemen during the thirteen days of the spring meeting at Havre de Grace, which opened on April 15 and closed on April 29. Four stakes were run during the meeting. The Chesapeake Stakes was the feature attraction and it went to the Wheatley Stables Gilded Knight. The son of Sir Gallahad HI. earned 2,800 in that stake and defeated one of the best fields that ever vied for that prize. Gilded Knights victory in the Chesapeake Stakes placed the Wheatley Stable first on the list of money-winning owners. The A. C. C. Stable, owned by A. C. Compton, finished second, and Mrs. Parker Corning was third. Jockey C. Stevenson was the leading rider of the meeting, and saddling honors went to H. G. Bedwell. The percentage of winning favorites was below normal, only twenty-three being successful out of the ninety-one races run. Following are the owners whose horses won ,100 or more: Owner. 1st. 2nd. 3rd.
