BABY JOE closed up on the outside rounding the far turn, but saved ground~in the stretch and finished strongly. HEARTEASE displayed good speed to the stretch head, but tired when the real test came. STAR BALLOT was never far away, held the others safe and had no mishaps. URCHIN raced closer up than usual in the early stages, but could never improve position. BRIGHT MELODY was always outpaced. WILD ROSEBUD gained steadily and was going strongly at the end. MISS ENTRY displayed early speed, but quit badly after reaching the stretch. BROADWAY GIRL Mosed some ground. ZEVSON. outrun early, finished with a belated rush on the outside of the opposition through the stretch. LADFIELD quit badly after showing speed for three-quarters.
