ULTIDUE broke slowly, moved up fast in the first quarter, raced BE DISCREET to defeat, then held on well in the drive to hold MISS MONTE safe. The latter, a keen factor all the way, responded to hard urging in the stretch and just missed getting up. MY GRANDSON raced well in the going and showed a good performance. BE DISCREET showed high speed for a half mile, but tired badly In the final drive. LINTER did not fancy the going. ITO showed little. PHIL WRIGHT raced prominently throughout and showed a good effort. SUN HALLIE, away slowly, closed a good gap. MISS ROYCE showed speed for a half mile, then tired badly. HELEN V. raced well. BELLE SETH forced the pace for a half mile, then faded badly. The others were never dangerous. The latter, well up in the early running", tired in the drive. EDDIES BROTHER raced evenly all the way. ROCKRIM raced well in the going. PANATELA quit. ETERNAL WAVE did not fancy the heavy going. ROSE GARDEN, away slowly, came fast through the last quarter to close a big gap. SCAR-FINN raced weft in the heavy going and showed a good effort. TERM-O-JEAN tired. QUEENSHIP raced evenly.
