PALM ISLAND broke well then dropped back in the first eighth, but worked way up on the outside and outstayed SWALE. The latter had no excuses and tired in the last eighth. LEROS was going well at the end. ROCK HIGH displayed scant speed and was never a serious factor. MAXIE BINDER was badly cut down in the first eighth and was pulled up SiT737,.1? MERGE, well up from the start, drew away into a commanding lead when straightened out in the stretch and held the race safe thereafter. AUTUMN LEAVES closed strongly on the outside during the run home, easily disposing of the remainder. SUNCIRCLE ELAN was never far back and outlasted the others in the final test. REGALITY set the early pace, but tired steadily through the last quarter. OBSTINATE BOY closed some ground. ORIENTAL MISS tired, as did JUSTOLD. The others were outrun. BONNIE CAIN closed resolutely through the stretch, but was doing his best at the end to stall off MAEPOP. The latter closed a wide gap while working way up on the outside. POT AU MINT forced the early pace, had no mishaps and tired slightly in the final drive. COMPUTER also tired in the last eighth. The others tired.
