HUDSON CLOSES PLANT DETROIT, Mich., May 16.— Fifty-five hundred workers were sent home today by the Hudson Motor Car Company as the management closed its plant following a dispute in which the CIO-Affiliated United Automobile Workers Union charged a speed-up and the plant management charged a slow-down strike. The union charged work had not been decreased since the discharge of forty workers last week. The plant was closed Friday noon on the same dispute. Plans were made for an immediate conference.
