JOCKEY CONTEST AT OMAHA Two Gold Watches Major Prizes for Riders Taking Part in Meeting at Ak-Sar-Ben. OMAHA, Neb., May 16.— A contest for jockeys, with two gold watches as the major prizes, will again be conducted during this years Ak-Sar-Ben race meeting, which opens May 27, one week from next Saturday. The contest this year will be conducted along the same lines as last year, with separate divisions for the apprentices and for the veteran jockeys. A gold wrist watch will be presented to the jockey who finishes first in each division. Jimmy Ashcroft, who was one of the leading jockeys in the past seasons racing at Florida, won the apprentice division at Ak-Sar-Ben last year, while the winner in the veteran jockeys contest was Danny Morgan. The riders will be allowed 4 points fo each winner they ride; 2 points for each second horse, and 1 point for each third.
