1 BEULAH PARK TURF NOTES* t s $ Apprentice W. C. Huff arrived Monday from Churchill Downs and lost no time getting into action. He rode Flickering in the third race. Benny Creech got in from Louisville with Dusky Prince, Gato and Flying Watch. Al Miller brought I. J. Collins Bernard F. and Pehamis from the same point. The stables of John Zitnik and Bell Bros., also a portion of the stable owned by Mrs. F. Stafford, have been shipped to Detroit. Paul Keiper, leading rider of the meeting, will go to Detroit for the first week of the meeting there and then to Omaha, which opens May 27. Bill Page, another youngster who has been riding with considerable success here, probably will go to Canada. Some of the other jockeys planning to go to North Randall, Cleveland, from here are: Clarence Watters, Bill Lowe, Augie Sylvester, J. W. Wilson, Ted King, Bill McCadden, Frank Bowles, Eddie Elam and Eddie Sylvia. The new book of rules for Ohio racing will be off the press within the next few days. It is understood that one of the changes will be the adoption of the closed claiming- rule for two-year-olds, which means that juveniles will be subject to claim only by owners having horses in the same race.
