PERFECT PEACE came through on the inside rounding the far turn, responded to severe pressure in the stretch run and outfinished PLAY GOLD in the last strides. The latter worked his way up on the outside, bore over sharply to the inside rounding the stretch turn and then hung in the final drive. IZAR ZURI was a forward factor throughout, was blocked entering the stretch and, forced to take up, finished fast on the inside. THE SERF was well up all the way, racing on the outside. ROSARIAN had no mishaps in the running. BRIGHT MARK showed a good effort. BRIGHT AND EARLY finished well. POESY lacked early speed. CHARMING HEROD was never a serious factor. THE LAKE showed early speed. NEWARK had no mishaps. JACK J/LY quit badly. PHARA FROST dwelt at the start. SILVER TRACE broke from outside, showed early speed and then quit. OMEL was a forward factor all the way and had no mishaps in the running. ATOPHAN showed early speed while jumping well and showed a good effort. BARRICADE II. had no mishaps in the running. FLYING FEATHERS was weakly handled all the way. POMPEIUS was outrun. ARCHERY had no excuses. MUSKOGEE and BROOM TOPPER were outrun. SAILORS KNOT lost rider after taking the final fence. The latter was bumped at the break and knocked off stride, was sent up on the outside when urged and then hung right near the finish. JESSIE GLADYS swerved slightly at the start, but recovered quickly and showed speed, only to falter nhx?Tal ei?ht,u PINK GAL brokc from outside the stalls and showed a good effort throughout. DISCERNING raced greenly, but showed a good effort. RUGGED ROCK raced evenly all the way. BE LIKE MOM, well up from the start, made a determined bid in the final quarter mile and then faltered. SCARLET RAIDER was sent into command at the start, showed speed all the way and had no excuses. BE A BELLE was outrun in the early stages, worked her way up and outlasted SIR KHAYYAM at the end. The latter was slow to begin, came inside the leaders entering the stretch and hung at the finish. SUBSTANTIAL was well up all the way and had no excuses in the running. TADPOLE raced well. SELF SERVICE had no mishaps. SPECIAL RACKET could not keep up. CARRAIGEEN dropped back at the start. STEM-WINDER had a flash of early speed. Overweight — Carraigeen, 1 pound. FAMILY FRIEND broke slowly and was outrun, but finished with good courage through the stretch run. CAMISADO dropped back after the start and was never a serious factor. LITTLE SLEEPER was outrun.
