LEAD PLEASE sprinted into an easy lead when saving a lot of ground at the first turn, continued stoutly and held STAR MINT safe. The latter worked her way forward on the inside in the last half mile and came strongly m the stretch drive. SCHLEY GOREE could not keep pace with the leaders early, moved farward readily nearing the stretch, then tired in the stretch drive. VENDORS LIEN lost ground while racing prominently in the first five-eighths. FAIR DEAL could not engage the winner and tired under strong urging. TOOTHPICK was outrun. LADYS FAVOR could not menace. DIZZY DAME was sent up to engage the pacemaker midway of the back stretch, gained steadily in the - last three-eighths, swung to the outside when displacing TULEYRIES LIN and was hustled to the close. TULEYRIES LIN opened up a clear lead at the first turn, saved ground while racing clear and continued strongly when caught. ROYAL BUSINESS, lacking speed to keep in the early contention, bettered her position on the outside and finished full of run in the closing test. AIR WIN was hurried to keep in a contending position and held on strongly after making a strong effort. CORNWALLIS could not reach the leaders. BEST POLICY, reserved for the first three-quarters, moved up stoutly at the final turn, then tired as if short. JUSTA PILGRIM lost ground to better her position. FLEET WIND was unable to threaten seriously at any time. ARACHNE had no speed. SYLVIA G. failed to menace when placed to strong urging. HIGHDEAR was done after going three-quarters. Won driving; second and third the same. nDTADDLES racinS on the inside of the leaders early, secured racing room along the rail to displace CARTOUR midway of the back stretch, went into a clear lead on the final turn and withstood a drive willingly to withstand COUNTER PASS. The latter, beginning slowly, improved her position steadily on the outside when shaken up and closed determinedly. CARTOUR could not get clear after moving to the front and tired when displaced. GAYLASS entered contention under a drive and failed to rally for the final test. KESWICK HILL was never a dangerous factor. VITASCOPE lost grounds on the turns and failed to keep up. MINNA was crowded going into the first turn.
